It is with sadness, but also with gratitude that I send this message. American Senior Communities, who has supported the cause for so many years, is unable to support Z'Sparkle Party Drag Race to End Alzheimer's going forward. We understand their position and knew there would come a time, with the changing of personnel and philosophies at ASC, that it may come about and knew that this would be the time to put this wonderful event to rest. We are very grateful for their generous support over the last six years. Z'Sparkle could not have been the success it was without Zionsville Meadows.
And so, there will be no Z'Sparkle on Main Street in Zionsville this August. There will be no crazy, dedicated, brave guys putting on lipstick and sparkly dresses and high heels - but I venture to say there will still be Z'Sparkle in the hearts of these guys and in all the wonderful volunteers, and we will continue our commitment to a world without Alzheimer's. A world where the sparkle never dims. And that is what it is really all about.
From the bottom of my "Z'Sparkling" heart, thank you all for all you have done to raise such huge awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's cause. You have all gone way above and beyond to make it all happen. The end of Alzheimer's truly does start with you!
Thank you so much for making a difference,
Amy & the Z'Sparkle Team
